Finally, we have some excellent news for ComEd customers! ComEd will be providing credits from June 2022 to May 2023.

As part of the state’s subsidy program for ComEd’s nuclear fleet, there was a provision that required ComEd to provide a credit back to all of its customers if power prices increased beyond a specific limit. Due to this year’s bullish energy market, ComEd will now be providing credits totaling $1 Billion over the next year (June 2022 to May 2023).

What does that mean for you?

You will see the following credit amounts:

PERIOD:                                 CREDIT:

June-Sept `22                      ($.04306/kWh)

Oct `22-May `23                 ($.03573/kWh)

Please note:

This credit will appear on the ComEd portion of your bill and won’t affect any retail supply agreement that you might have in place.

Please note that this credit will be in place until May of 2023.
